This time this era these past many years. Years of the terror wars new technologies that tempt us to superstition, and meanness. The rise of fearful nationalisms. These things, and more have changed this Republic. Changed it into harsher darker place.
It is a daily struggle to hold to our better selves our better Angels. Crime plucks on crime cruelty on cruelty lies on lies. That, and now we're told to call this "Normal".
Here is another Normal we can embrace.
Be patient be aware be brave be kind. Keep your inner light alive. Keep that light of your inner selves bright. That, and encourage this in all around you. Have humor creativity, and foresight. Be of the truth as your life experience has shown you to know the truth. ...and see this in others.
Most of all do not despair. Don't be afraid because you are not alone. We have each other.
