We need more than mere moments of peace. Accepting that accepts what we face everyday a normal as it should be. It's not. We all no matter gender orientation color faith politics know it's not.
Eleanor Roosevelt made "Freedom From Fear" part of the U.N. Declaration of Human Rights for a reason.
A "moment" of peace to stop, and scent the flowers is not enough.
In fact it's Cruel.
Allowing ourselves only that. Just that brief relief. That desperate scratching out of a tiny scrap pf peace. This, and calling it good is an Atrocity. One we commit on ourselves, and all around us.
We need more than mere moments hours or days. We deserve just by being alive whole lifetimes of peace safety beauty sanity, and joy.
