David Hammond's created the African American flag. This in honor for the 1990 inauguration of David Dinkins. He was the first African American Mayor of New York City. I also remember a few months after he was elected Staten Island tried to leave NYC because it elected a Black Mayor. Further in uniform white policemen rioted in City Hall's parking lot cursing Dinkins and calling for his death. I remember.
