Race attitudes are complex. Difficult irrational contradictory. We all have bits of resentments, but know it's nuts so deal with it. Some are just not good at the dealing. Brit rock star "Morrissey" a while ago was mixed up in anti-immigrant hate groups. He was outted when they thanked him for his support. It's sad when someone you dig breaks your heart.

I came across statements negative about the "Freedmen". That is the post-civil war former Black slaves. This said by Walt Whitman. Yeah 'that' Uncle Walt. ...this a few seasons back in the New Yorker. This makes him less saintly, but more like the rest of us. Which of course always he was.

Life is complicated, and tough. So we aspire to compassion, and forgiveness. This as we would want it for all as well as ourselves.
